This is a complete ground school program, suitable for all
student pilots (airplane, single-engine, land). We are proud to
tell you that the Gold Seal Online Ground School has become the
most popular online flight training program on Earth. After you
view a couple of our free lessons, we're sure you'll see why.
Registration - You can participate in this online
ground school as either a registered student or
enrolled student. Registration
is free and gives you immediate access to a large part of the
Private Pilot Course. Enrolled students pay
a small "tuition" in order to take the entire course
and be eligible for a Course Completion Certificate and FAA
Written Test Endorsement. Whichever option you choose, you're
going to like it here.
Classes - These are
multimedia lessons in the most important piloting topics.
Although student pilots will use these to learn the material covered in exams, all pilots will find them to be important reviews of the
essentials. In fact, over 40% of our students are already
licensed pilots. The lessons are multimedia intensive - you will need a fast computer
and high speed connection to view them.
Resources - There is a large selection of knowledge
resources available here. It's not all just in the lessons. Take advantage of the
our online radio broadcast to interact with other pilots and instructors.
Panels of CFIs will be standing by to take your questions live.
Library - The Library contains an assortment of
FAA documents in .pdf format. If you need it, you'll probably find it there. Additionally,
there is a selection of "white papers" covering a spectrum of aviation
topics. Finally, you'll find some really interesting articles in the Library as
well as a directory of flight instructors listed by city and state.
Podcasts
- In this section you will find a list of audio presentations. They include everything
from discussions of confusing subjects to interviews with key aviation professionals.
You may listen to streaming audio on your computer if you have a high speed connection.
Otherwise, you may download and play the audio on your computer or portable .mp3
player.
